Terms and Conditions

1. VT will provide onsite home services at the customers request and will perform the work to the best of it's ability but makes no guarantees as to the quality of the service nor does it accept responsibility and liability for the ongoing support matters.

2. When an appointment is made the customer agrees to attend at the time of the appointment and have everything prepared for the service so that VT can commerce on arrival. Other wise VT may: - (a) charge for waiting time at the rate of $20 for every ¼ hour or part thereof and if the customer does not accept and pay this charge prior to commencement by cash or credit card, VT may deduct the waiting time from time allocated for the service, or (b) make an alternative time whereby the customer agrees to pay the current VT travel time (TT) rate.

3. The customer must give a minimum of 24 hours notice if they wish to rearrange an appointment otherwise VT may at its sole discretion charge a $40 cancellation fee plus TT if applicable and the customer must pay this charge by cash or credit card before VT are required to reschedule a new appointment.

4. All matters relating to warranty claims associated with products VT may work on are the responsibility of the customer and VT accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever for the consequences of any breaches of warranty with regards to these products.

5. VT does not service or support improperly licensed products or illegal practices and will not provide and services in relation to these products or practices.

6. VT make no guarantees nor accept any responsibility or liability for any consequential direct or indirect loss or damage resulting from a VT service or from delays of any nature or cause whatsoever in relation to this service.

7. VT reserver the right not to proceed with a job as defined in the scope of work specified prior to a service if in the attending consultants belief they are unable to complete the work due to, (a) technical and/or environmental conditions or (b) inadequate knowledge in which case the customer will not be charged for the service call.

8. Where a service relates to a product VT does not acknowledge that the product manufacturers specified environmental or minimum system requirements are correct and reserves the right to either modify them as a condition of providing the service if it deems they are prohibitive to meets its obligations for the service. Clause 1 and 6 apply to such modifications if made.

9. Subject to the customers statutory rights under the Trade Practices Act or other similar state and territory laws all entitlements and the liability of VT is expressly limited to the cost of the service being provided.

10. VT provides services throughout New Zealand and travel surcharge may apply outside of all metropolitan areas and regional centres serviced by VT.

11. The customer is responsible for payment of abnormal out of pocket expenses incurred in attending a job.

12. VT field agents are not required to provide additional time and/or services beyond the scope of a pre-booked job but may at the request of the customer extend the service provided the customer is prepared to pay for the extra time and materials at the rate prescribed by VT at the time the work is done. Clause 1 and 6 shall apply with respect to such work.

13. Extra time and/or services requested by a customer will be at the sole discretion of and subject to the attending field agents availability.

14. VT works with a 'No fix, no Fee' Troubleshoot and Fix policy. Under this policy VT agree to spend whatever time is necessary to satisfactorily complete the job, in the event that we cannot satisfactorily complete the job we will refund the price of the service and/or we VT will not charge for the time of service.

15. Vt reserves the right at any point in time to refuse continued service if it deemed that the to pay equipment is beyond reasonable service repair, at which time a refund of the service will be provided to the customer.

16. The service price does not include the price of parts required for repairs. In completing their service obligation VT reserves the right to ask the customer to pay for the cost of such parts and if they do not VT may declare the service guarantee null and void in which case the customer will be required to pay the full cost of the service.

17. Additional time required to complete the service is at the sole discretion of and subject to the attending consultant's availability. If the customer refuses to allow VT fulfillment of the service requirements, the customer voids the 'No Fix, No Fee' policy and as such is liable for the full cost of the service.

18. In signing the VT OnSite Service Record you (the customer) recognise and are in agreement with the Terms and Conditions of the 'No Fix, No Fee' policy, in particular you agree that, VT have satisfactorily fixed that problem reported and any further service required will be done so at additional cost.

19. In the case that a refusal of service or conditions of services is made by the customer, that does not allow VT to satisfactorily complete the job, the customer forfeits their right to clause 14 and as such is liable for the full cost of service.
